The saga continues

Earthlink affirmed a problem with the YAHOO server ... but it apparently infected one of there connecting servers as well ... fortunately for Earthlink, the server infected was a minor port of entry in rural Maine. No confirmation of other small entry ports being infected.

It should be interesting to discover the cause.

For now -- watch for yahoo slow downs. The most noticable effect of the attack is the inability of images to appear on YAHOO HOMPAGES -- even though the page loads quickly and the ads (which are from non-yahoo servers) appear normal. E-MAIL is also affected ... but only through distored and unformated pages and a failure of various buttons to work ...

AH the fun goes on ...

There is a report of NYTIMES.com logon screen and ANCESTRY.com images also being affected.

It will be interesting to see how long these new electro-terrorists take to break the barriers and bring down the search engine.
